Southern Illinois Raceway 2008 Rules

JUNIORS

1. Age limit:  6-12 years of age in this calendar year, 2008
2. KT Yamaha 100S or Briggs & Stratton sealed engine.
3. No in car adjustments.
4. Yamaha engines must use the SSC by RLV 4-hole canister muffler.  The Briggs   will use a RLV 5442S header and RLV 4100 silencer or stock pipe.
5. Any type fuel.
6. Right rear spec tire to be 16 x 8.50 x 8 American Racer JKKN8 stamped NMMA SD44.  There can be no grooving, siping, softening or altering the tire in any way.
7. Weight limit: minimum car and driver weight 400 pounds.
8. The following safety items are suggested:  Name brand flame retardant uniform, five point racing style harness, racing style shoes, arm restraints, flame retardant gloves, and neck brace or helmet restraint (cage net recommended).  Seat Belts should be no older than 3 years old.

RESTRICTORS

1. Age limit: must be 10 years of age in this calendar year, 2008.
2. 600cc.
3. Three quarter (¾ ) inch restrictor.
4. No in car adjustments.
5. No fuel injection.
6. Weight limit: minimum car and driver weight 750 pounds.
7. 50 compound right rear.
8. The following safety items are suggested:  Name brand flame retardant. uniform, five point racing style harness, racing style shoes, arm restraints, flame retardant gloves, and neck brace or helmet restraint (cage net recommended).  Seat Belts should be no older than 3 years old.

OUTLAW WINGED AND NON-WINGED

1. 600cc not to exceed 636cc.
2. Weight limit: minimum car and driver weight 750 pounds.
3. Alcohol or racing fuel may be used.  NO ADDITIVES ALLOWED.  This only applies to performance enhancers, is not meant to exclude top end lubricants.  Random fuel checks may be conducted at the conclusion of any event.
4. The following safety items are suggested:  Name brand flame retardant uniform, five point racing style harness, racing style shoes, arm restraints, flame retardant gloves, and neck brace or helmet restraint (cage net recommended).  Seat Belts should be no older than 3 years old.

5. Non-wing must run 50 compound right rear.
